What You Need to Bring to SOAR

In order to have your UNCG FirstCard (student ID card) made and to register for classes, you’ll need:

  • Your student identification number
For more information on obtaining your student id number, which was originally provided to you in a letter from Admissions, go to the IT Web site.
  • All correspondence with UNCG
  • Government-issued photo identification (i.e., driver’s license or passport)

What You Should NOT Bring:

  • Please leave large amounts of cash and valuables at home.
Need just a bit of cash? Wachovia Bank ATMs are located in the Elliott University Center, the main dining hall, and the Bryan School of Business and Economics. There is also a State Employees’ Credit Union ATM in the Elliott University Center and a Bank of America ATM in the main dining hall. The UNCG Bookstore and all dining locations accept cash or credit/debit cards.

  • No alcohol or illegal drugs, regardless of age, are permitted.
Students are advised that the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs will result in expulsion from SOAR, postponing your course registration. Additionally, these actions may result in charges through the UNCG Dean of Students Office, which could result in disciplinary action.
