Parent/Family Transfer & Adult SOAR Fees

What is the SOAR fee for Parents and Family?

SOAR Program fee for Parents and Family: $25.00 per guest

The fees for the Parent/Family SOAR program begin with a base fee of $25.00 per guest. This fee includes materials for the SOAR program, parking, a continental breakfast and lunch.

We offer a discounted rate to the Parent/Family program for all UNCG employees who are parents of students attending UNCG. Please contact our office for details.

How do I pay my Parent/Family SOAR fee?

Payment Policy

All Guest fees for SOAR are required in advance. Payments must be received in our office before your SOAR session. Payments that are mailed with enough time allowed to reach our department in time. We encourage mailing payments atleast two weeks in advance. Any payments not received in our office by your SOAR session must be paid at check-in and a late fee may apply. We cannot accomodate payment by credit card at check-in.

Online credit card payments are preferred for guests and you may make those payments through the SOAR reservation system. However, checks and money orders are accepted, made payable to “UNCG Orientation & Family Programs”, and sent to:

How do I cancel my SOAR reservation?

Cancellation Policy

Please select your SOAR session carefully. If you must cancel your reservation completely, please log in to UNCGenie and cancel your reservation at least 5 business days prior to your session. We will not take cancellations over the phone. SOAR fees for the Parent/Family program will NOT be refunded if cancellations are not made through the reservation system and 5 business days prior to the session. After 5 business days, the SOAR session becomes inactive and no changes or cancellations can be made to that session. There are no refunds or waivers for the mandatory New Student Fee.
