Do I need to take a placement exam today?   YES...
 IF you have studied Spanish, French or Latin for 1 or more years in High School;
   and you plan to continue the study of that language;
   and your major is listed above;
 or you would be interested in taking Latin, French or Spanish as an elective course;

If you have answered YES, you will need to take the placement test at the time indicated
on your Self-Guided Time schedule.


What if I already know a language other than English?
Students whose high school courses were taught in a foreign language may document their proficiency with a high school transcript. Students who are proficient in a language other than those taught at UNCG may submit a letter of certification from a professor at any accredited U.S. college or university documenting proficiency.
